I moved to Euless on the 1st. Everything relating to moving went very smooth. The only big problem we had was getting our huge couch in the door. We had to take the four legs off and even then it barely fit. Then came the 5th of January.
First, the cable goes out. I call up Time Warner and explain what's going on. I told the lady that I just transfered my account over to another address and I don't see why our cable is off. She asks me 100 questions that are not even remotely close to the problem I'm having. Finally she says, "Oh, it seems the technician didn't sign off on your paperwork when he came out on the 2nd. So I'm going to have to transfer your box numbers over from your previous address and it should solve the problem. Can I put you on hold for a minute?" I said, "Sure that's fine". So nearly 10 minutes later the lady gets back on the phone and says, "I'm sorry there is nothing I can do to help your situation". I said, "What happen'd to the transferring of the numbers and all that?", "I'm sorry there is just nothing I can do". So Me being Me I ask for a supervisor. The lady responded immediately, "All our supervisors are busy at the moment". I asked her, "How do you know if they're busy or not? I just asked you one second ago". She says, "Well they are not on the floor so that means they're busy. If you would like I can have one call you back". I agree and leave my number with her. I never received a call.
Then there is today. Around 3 PM my brother says "Don't let the dogs outside the Electric man is in the backyard. Not even 5 seconds later all the power in the house just goes off completely. I walk outside to ask that dude what's going on, and he says, "The power was to be disconnected today because the people previously before you transferred their account to their new address." I tell him that we've done the same thing and he's tells me to call TXU and report the problem to them. So I do and I had to go through this long strenuous process took about 45 minutes for them to get everything straight. The problem that whoever took the information down wasn't listening and wrote the wrong address down for mine. So our electric was on at some house in Waxahachie. They didn't have our power on till about 9 PM.
The only good thing that happened today was that cable man came and set all our boxes up, drilled a new outlet and sat around and bs'd with us for awhile.
So now everything is back to normal, cable and power are up and running smoothly. Just to let you know Time Warner Cable has some shitty customer service.
